the short courses
The short courses are designed to convey a broad survey of biblical teaching on finances, but are not as detailed as the basic or formal course offerings. Useful when time constraints require abbreviated versions, these short courses are designed to be presented as one- to six-hour lectures. The actual classroom time needed for each course will vary from the nominal, depending on the number of questions from the audience, discussions, and translators needed for the audience.

FRIDAY OR SATURDAY SEMINAR
Present the Short Course in an informal setting. By briefly presenting each of the 10 financial principles, the student may be encouraged to do further independent research

A one or two Sunday presentation may invite questions and instill interest in the Basic Course
COLLEGE LECTURE
College students, whether at a secular or religious institution, need training in sound financial management concepts as they prepare to enter adult life.
The short courses are slide presentations of abbreviated versions of the 10 core modules comprising the Basic Course and consist of one or more key concepts from each module. These "Short Courses" might be suitable for a Friday night or Saturday morning seminar, an adult Sunday School curriculum of a few weeks in duration, or an evening seminar at a college or seminary. All short courses are in Microsoft PowerPoint format, converted to downloadable pdf files.

Short Course general introduction
Biblical Financial Principles - a 1-hour scriptural survey A brief, comprehensive presentation of the subject at a high level
Building our financial house based on God's Word (6-hour course): A shorter form of the Basic Course presenting the Ten Principles in the context of building a house. Part I-laying the foundation (condensed from Principles 1-3) Part II-building the structure (condensed from Principle 4) Part III-living in it (condensed from Principles 5-10)
Additional modules:
The Blessings Fund (2-hour course): A focused call to generous giving. The course includes the concept of the "Blessings Fund", a tool to help the believer practice willing and cheerful generosity. Includes presenter narrative.
Microenterprises (2-hour course). This module is a special application of the Basic Course module VI: Money and Business. It provides a brief overview of general business principles, describes some of the issues facing small, individually-owned businesses, and offers some examples of microenterprises often found in developing countries. It presents this small business concept at a high-level and provides the framework for further investigation by interested entrepreneurs.
